Originally a cinema, the music theatre in Wrocław has long been in need of a properly-sized stage for the needs of its spectacular shows. The historic, pre-war building of Capitol in Piłsudskiego Street has been extended and rebuilt a few times over the last decades, with the result that its front wing makes it the ugliest theatre facade in Poland. But those times are over. Joanna Kiszkis, spokesperson for the Music Theatre in Wrocław, announces the official news that the money needed for the rebuilding and extension of Capitol has been officially granted by the European Union. All we need now is patience – RadioWroclove’s favourite stage will now have to find a temporary location for the next three years… Plus the latest on the away performances of the Hair musical in Jurek Chyb’s interview.

French-branded, Turkey-made, battery-operated. The first mass produced electric sedan is about to be released by Renault. The Fluence ZE has its sockets right in the front mudguard section and needs 6-8 hours to recharge. If you have any doubt if electric cars are the future, how’s that for a surprise – an American company has decided to sell the Romanian Dacia Logan in America – but only in its mains-recharged version… Jurek Chyb also talks about the new, four-door (!) Fiat 500 with a bigger engine, sold in the USA as a Chevrolet, and a seriously stretched Audi A8 that will massage its passengers whilst offering them cold drinks straight from the onboard fridge.
